    "This Woman in Real Life"

    ...Joan Mulvihill

  • Who is this woman, in real life?

I am an events Chair and MC, Keynote Speaker and Communications Coach who thinks and talks at the intersection of HUMAN CREATIVITY and the DIGITALISATION of everything else.

Leading for technology adoption as well as a practicing professional artist, I chair discussions on technology, strategy and society, contribute to podcasts on economics, politics and art, as well as delivering entertaining and engaging keynotes.

My ARTISTIC PRACTICE actively informs my thinking on technology bringing a unique point of view to the future of organisations as we fine tune the balance between being data driven and human led.

We don’t shape the future by having all the answers but by asking the right questions.

    MC and Chair

I am a master at this! Whether mainstage at the RDS or a boutique event, I energise and engage audiences from 20 to 2000. There will always be a seamless flow and there is nothing that can happen behind the scenes or in the audience that I cannot handle from that MC podium.

With broad domain knowledge in technology, manufacturing, entrepreneurship, economics, society, art and culture I have MC'd a wide range of conferences and panels.

    Communications Coaching

I love working with clients in perfecting their pitch. My clients have included the Head of Fundraising at a respected charity where we worked together on their speech for their annual fundraising dinner. I have also worked with the Founder of a non-profit industry body on their public policy presentation to government.

Whether looking for funding or to impact social change, to win hearts and influence thinking, I can help you with focus and clarity of message to ensure your pitch lands.

In this conversation with Sebastien Grube for The Arts In Business Podcast, Joan Mulvihill shares her journey from corporate life to embracing her identity as an artist and leader. She discusses the importance of finding purpose, the artist mindset, and the need for originality in a world dominated by mechanistic thinking. Joan emphasizes the significance of vulnerability, creativity, and the necessity of rehumanizing organizations to foster a more innovative and fulfilling work environment. She advocates for a future where creativity and purpose drive societal progress, challenging the status quo of productivity and profit-driven motives.
